SELECT BAD APPS
Select the “bad” apps you’d like to spend less time on. SmartHabits will block these apps until you’ve spent time on your “good” apps and have earned the screen time.
For example, you might select social media apps like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc. or game apps. It’s up to you to select the “bad” apps.
SELECT GOOD APPS
Select the “good” apps, the productive apps you’d like to spend more time on that will earn your screen time. For example, you might select educational apps, meditation apps, or any other app that improves yourself.
By default, SmartHabits also earns you screen time when you exercise.
EARN YOUR SCREEN TIME™
When you spend time on “good” apps, exercising, or meditating, you’ll earn screen time on SmartHabits. For example, after spending 30 minutes exercising, you’ll have earned 30 minutes of unlimited screen time that you can use on your “bad” apps.
SmartHabits uses the HealthKit API to check the number of steps you’ve walked as well as how many meditation minutes you have spent. SmartHabits uses the ScreenTime API to report how much time you have spent on your apps and limiting your access to certain apps.
